National Bologna Event – XIV International Conference «European Integration of Ukraine’ Higher Education in the context of Bologna Process. Bologna Process Principles and Tools» (20 years of Bologna Process: Achievements, Challenges and Prospects) 6 November 2025, KYIV TIME, hybrid format
On 6 November 2025 the XIV Annual International Bologna Conference Event – XIV International Conference “European Integration of Higher Education of Ukraine in the Context of the Bologna Process. Bologna Process Principles and Tools“ – National Bologna Event took place. The event was organised by the National Erasmus+ Office – Ukraine and the Institute of Higher Education of the NAES of Ukraine in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine, and the National Higher Education Reform Experts Team (HERE team). The TAM event was supported by the SPHERE consortium, Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture of the European Commission, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and EU Delegation to Ukraine
The National Bologna Event – Bologna Conference 2025 aimed to assess the state, challenges and prospects of higher education development in Ukraine under the martial law and the full-scale war in the context of Bologna Process principles and tools implementation. The event highlighted the processes of harmonising Ukrainian higher education system in line with European integration. It also provided the overview of the impact of the CBHE projects on qualification recognition using the example the QUARSU project.
The event gathered online about 70 registered participants on 6 November, including representatives of higher education institutions and vocational pre-tertiary education institutions from all regions of Ukraine, research institutions of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the NAQA, the National Qualifications Agency, Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE), also more than 50 participants watched the live broadcast on the NEO YouTube channel. About 40 speakers and participants of the Bologna Conference gathered in the conference hall of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The Bologna Conference featured key speaker Horia ONITA, Head of the European Higher Education Area Secretariat – EU expert, SPHERE, a recognised European expert on the Bologna Process issues.

Presentation on the actual issues of institutional dimension of Quality Assurance and Enhancement under the emergencies was delivered by Volodymyr BUGROV, Rector of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
